WALKING THE WETLANDS WORKSHOP
Connecting Non-Formal Urban Educators to Conservation Education

August 31 - September 1, 2007
Walnut Creek Wetland, Raleigh, NC

Audubon North Carolina, the state office of the National Audubon Society, and Partners for Environmental Justice, a community-based environmental advocacy group in southeast Raleigh, will provide an environmental education workshop entitled: Walking the Wetlands - Connecting Non-Formal Urban Educators to Conservation Education. The workshop will be held at Saint Ambrose Episcopal Church in southeast Raleigh, with outdoor field activities located within the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Walnut Creek Wetland Area, adjacent to the church.

Participation is limited to twenty people and is open to non-formal educators especially in the Raleigh area.

North Carolina Environmental Education Certification
This workshop provides 8 hours of credit towards The Environmental Education Certification, Component II, "Environmental Educational Experiences in the Out-of-Doors," or may be put towards Component III.

Participant Cost: $20.00
